Carrier Butterfly

This large, flying insect was native to the planet Maridun. Distinguished by its graceful, colorful wings, the carrier butterfly was quite intelligent for an insect. These insects could imitate certain sounds and vocalizations, which allowed them to communicate with each other. The Lurmen who settled on Maridun discovered this ability to mimic sounds, and used these insects to carry messages back and forth between scouts and their villages.
