Category: CharactersThis clone commander, designated CC-1004, served under Jedi Master Yoda in the defense of the planet Kashyyyk, during the final stages of the Clone Wars. He chose the nickname Gree because it was the name of an alien race that interested him, and it was this interest in other cultures that earned him special notice and training from the Kaminoans cloners. Along with Jedi Master Luminara Unduli and sometimes Master Yoda, Commander Gree led the 41st Elite Corps, a group of clone troopers and commandos who were trained to interact with the indigenous species of many remote worlds. He wore his red-dyed hair in a style known as the "double stripe", in honor of his fallen comrades who were killed at the Battle of Tibrin. In the wake of the First Battle of Coruscant, after Darth Sidious revealed his true nature and killed Mace Windu, Sidious sent out communications to the various clone commanders to execute Order 66. Upon hearing the order, Gree and one of his officers set out to destroy Yoda and any other Jedi on Kashyyyk. The ancient Jedi Master was more than a match for the clones who had served under him, and Yoda beheaded Gree and another officer with his lightsaber before they could fire their weapons.
