Finally, some pictures for y'all to see. They are not pictures of my actual astromech, but some pre-viz work I did.

The first one is from a picture of an actual hand-built R2-D2, that I colored in PhotoShop. Yes, my PhotoShop skills suck pondwater...

The second one is from the Star Wars Kids section of the OWS. Aw, inn't he cute? Actually, this one is a bit closer to what I want, with the Lincoln Continental cream-colored body. The starting image had some limitations, so please visualize the utility arms as being all red. Same for the colored ring at the base of the dome.

I'm debating the base color of the dome... should it be chrome/aluminum, or cream-colored like the base?
